Sounds good to me. If you mean cleaning the metal, soapy water and a toothbrush is fine, but make sure to dry it thoroughly. It's made of brass and brass corrodes if it stays wet. The rose one I"d use a dry toothbrush on and nothing else; it looks like the coating is already halfway gone.
