    Hello

I bought these lovely Moser decanter sets. All pieces labelled and signed, but i cant find much info on later Moser pieces. Are these art deco era or later?

    thanks

Czech Republic was 1918-38 and 1993 onwards. Can't see these being post 1993. The decoration on the one with the gold band is known as oroplastic.

    They're post 1993.

The between the wars mark is Czechoslovakia or a variant thereof. Sometimes, in French, sometimes, two words, sometimes a hyphen.

That's a very modern label: the use of Czech Republic and lead free is another big clue, as is hand made. EU compliant.

    Lovely things, anyhow.

Were they making oroplastic in the 90's though? I thought that stopped in the 1950's. I can't seem to drag up any specific dates though.

Nice, I think that is called the embossed gold (or platinum), oroplastic is deeper cut and has sharp edges. I have a set of Lady Hamilton stemware we use for special occasions and it is different to the oroplastic you find on vases etc.

You may well be right about the date on op's items though, looking again it probably is embossed gold rather than oroplastic, and that would fit with the later date. Looking closer at the labels they are also similar but different to the earlier ones which had textured gilt edges.

Thank you all for the deductions. Looking through their website was a bit of an eye opener to the price of these things. I think i found the shape of the smokey glass one though.
