Featured mottled green glass ufo vase?

Hi folks

picked up this nice glass piece today in a house clearance shop

looks a nice quality and unusual shape

not sure if its a vase or what

like a mottled ? green glass

unsure of maker, age etc, unmarked but undamaged

any thoughts or info appreciated

Beat me to it. It’s typically Nazeing. They came in assorted sizes and colours. I had several till I decided it wasn’t really my mainstream obsession. Nazeing only closed very very recently too.

 

Oh, and it’s a fold back rim posy bowl.

I’ve been to the glassworks. They had a super little museum with other British makers, too. The MD came down and showed us round, nice chap.

Massive shame they’ve gone. Their heritage went back to the early seventeenth century.

 

Wow,with so much history,a real pity!

 

It would be nice if you could find a glass flower frog that fits the center, something to prop up the flowers. Or one of those spikey things that you see in Japanese floral arrangements to hold up the bamboo stalks and flowers.
