    That's a GREAT guess @Steersman, unless you saw it!!!! I finally got the image onto DH's computer and edited down.....it's pretty sad, but MIGHT confirm what you said........WOW......I think that's IT!!!!! Thanks!!!!!

    DH also found, stamped right into the metal "KELLY AXE & TOOL WORKS,
    CHARLESTON, W VA USA" - inversed!!!

    It's my understanding that Kelly used the T T mark starting 1949 and it persisted into the 1990s.

    This old edge tool maker had myriad marks and brands in it's long history. There are many good forums and discussions online, mainly about their axes.
