This is a REALLY old and terrible pic of my Kestner. Even though the pic is beyond terrible, I hope you can see the huge differences between a genuine antique, quality doll and the modern ones. I think the differences shine even through the godawfullness [IMG]

Found 'nother terrible and old pic

    She is adorable Bou!

She looks to be of good size?

For @Simona Buhus, my Avatar is a German Googly......the size, position of the eyes make her a googly............the head is painted bisque. I absolutely love her.

I'd call her Mitzi Dupree and maybe an old Deep Purple fan wants her...

I agree. The clothes on the better ones were not synthetic like on this one though.

The better repros were just that......better..........:cat:

    All around.

My wording "anyone doll" should really be "any one particular antique doll"..................

I had lusted for one myself for many years.

I found her in a shop New Hampshire (for our States members). She has a hairline, but I loved her Swedish clothing which added much to the value for me. She was priced at $95, because of the hairline. I've had her for 20+ years. She is always within my eye contact and reach.

I'm in agreement... falls within "modern". Not a lot of value...but cute!
