That’s maybe half the items in the album but I’m done! Most of the others are just people standing around or are in faded/poor condition.
I will share a few of her post cards in the postcards thread.

These photos are all simply wonderful.... but how sad is it that someone discarded the album, in the first place? Again, Bluumz, I am just so glad that you rescued it!

The woman I bought the album from said she'd bought it from family. She also had a few albums of studio portraits, for which she wanted $$$. She sold me this album for peanuts, thinking no one would be interested in candid shots. But they're my favorite type of vintage photos!

She liked a good looking man no doubt ! I too wondered about them looking so prosperous during the great depression. Such fun to see these.

I've always thought these cut crystal beads were 1920s or so. Think this picture was marked 1932.
We were discussing these in another thread.
    Thanks for the close up.

Great collection of pictures. Particularly like the boots

Hello, This thread is of GREAT interest to me, as Bertha of this photo album was my mother. Many thanks to Blumz for tracking me down and offering to restore the photo album to my family. She's the best. And I'm glad you all enjoyed the photos and treated my mom with such great respect. If any of you have questions for me, I'd be happy to try and answer them for you. God bless you, Todd Beezley (Roanoke, VA)

I don't think jodhpurs were ever considered proper tennis gear. In the 1930s, women athletes dressed like this. (And here's a history of tennis fashion from Vogue.)

Suspect they were at a lake camp and wore the activewear they'd brought for all outdoor activities.

Todd, that is PHENOMENAL! So many of us loved the photos that Bluumz shared (for me, many of them were like looking at my own family's old photos) and I think it's absolutely wonderful that they're being returned to your family.

Big shout out to @bluumz : you're a kind & thoughtful hero in my book!
