I chased the book a good ways over the starting bid, ate lunch, came back to the 'puter to find bidding closed and myself the underbidder. Fine-saved me a good chunk of change. Plus I'm guessing a Museum group I know bought it, and if so I know I can just go there and ask to copy the ledger, I don't have to own it personally.

So much for my initiation into online-only auctions-I still prefer bidding on the phone or in person![/QUOTE]
