Mysterious Inscription on Back of Mounted Photo

    I have an old silver gelatin photo that was taken sometime in the Far East / British Straits Settlements in the 1920s. The front just shows two men dressed in a mix of Oriental and Western garb sitting in chairs for a studio pose. But it's the back that I can't figure out. Can anyone make out what these squiggles mean?!

    Most of the 'squiggles' are an actual script, Chinese. Possibly the names of the sitters.

    Not that it will help anyone to read what it says, but posting the front of the photo, may help to get some other information. Based on clothing etc, may indicate a time period.
    Is there a studio photographer on front?
