Mystery Chair

    We found this chair while cleaning out my parents attic. They never mentioned it, so we have no idea where it came from, how old it is or who made it. We didn't find any identifying markings on it either. Does anybody have a clue what style it is, how old it is, who might of made it and it's value?

    Lovely piece......to me it's Victorian, but wait for the furniture heroes to come along......

    Hello and welcome to the board.

    Your chair appears to be English, late 1800s.
    I think the needlepoint was added. It probably had a cane seat and back originally.
    Only my opinion. Wait for the furniture gurus.

    Was thinking English Edwardian so in the same ballpark.

    Late 19th and one of ours. Probably part of a set. Upholstery might be original, only a thread test will tell. I don't think cane, but can we see its underbits please?
