I can probably find/make the bamboo stem pipe-the other items a bit more ??? The Jadeite End Plug & Tip maybe at a jewelry store/convention 'Findings' section. The little decorative rings also spice it up-but not essential.
The Bowl is a bit more problematic, ceramic generally, they will sometimes show on up Ebay, but even the most basic 'Picker' will have an idea of what they are & price accordingly.

Definitely a recreational item... for sure! I would not take it thru a customs search as I am sure some of the recreational residues is still present!

This combination of stones is very Chinese. You've probably seen a similar row of semi-precious stones on those long Chinese nail guards, which used to be popular as brooches.

That's a nice find, and authentic to my eyes!:woot:
Now, as to find or adapt lacking parts is another challenge... Once you know how things look like, you may find a damper described as incence burner;)
The mouth piece and end have to be fit to the stem...
May be described as small cane handle or small round jade stand:joyful:
Don't trust anything listed as "opium":hilarious::hilarious:
    Happy hunting to you:)

Kyrgyzstan- Beautiful paraphernalia (oops-I meant to say Objet d' Art). Thank you deeply for the search words-excellent way to begin my quest, and yes-it seems that everyone thinks they have an Opium Pipe (instead of Gramp's burnt-out corncob pipe).
There's a fairly informative site on this subject-'The Amsterdam Pipe Museum' (where else ? ). We also like 'Bug Jewelry',esp Victorian Aesthetic Movement kind.
Any Jewel-Is there a symbolic significance to the 5 Stones found on Chinese Items (Chakras, etc) ?
Thanks all for giving me a Big IvoryHand1.jpg Hand-the Hunts afoot !

We were too busy in Amsterdam with Vermeer,Rembrandt,Van Gogh,Food and great Dutch and Belgium Beers, but I regret not going into one of the numerous 'Coffee Shops' and bloviating to the kids about seeing Hendrix in '68 in San Francisco-might've gotten some free refreshments ?

Traditionally the Chinese considered many semi-precious stones as varieties of jade, so to the maker it could have been a row of different coloured jades.

Stones have healing properties in traditional Chinese medicine, but I don't think that was the intention here. The different stones could even have conflicting properties.;)
