Featured Mystery tool seen at a UK antiques faire

This is an interview with a UK antiques dealer who'd probably fit in around here. I didn't know what it was either, but figured someone here might. It looks about the diameter to do something with shotgun shells, and it's wood and brass so it wouldn't spark. @springfld.arsenal ???

 

Don't know what his extractor/ejector thingy is, but noticed as the camera panned around that he had at least 2 items in the form of turtles.

 

No surprise; the dude likes old stuff in all forms. That includes turtles.

 

it clamps onto the rear end of a spent shotgun cartridge prior to reloading .. the plunger pushes out spent ignition charge ready to replace with live ignition charge.other equipment required would be a shot measure and a black powder measure......bang and there goes another little ducky..

I think one of the turtle like things is a chocolate Easter egg mould.

 

So much the better as far as I'm concerned. But one problem - the sale would include no chocolate, and what would be the point?

 

Then it's an egg with scutes arranged just like a turtle's shell.

We may or may not be singling out the same item, although I'm thinking of the one in a silvery metal. The other one looks a lot like a nightlight I have.

I could have told him what it was. I have sold several Slightly different models. Mine had a separate tool to extract the primer but same principle. I love the chocolate mold.

 

One of those things you know if you've run into it, but otherwise...not a clue. The chocolate mold looks like it needs chocolate.
