It is hand carved wood with original paint and not a repaint. It was rewird around 1960s at some point in its travels from European standard to American standard plugs but the bulbs are actually expensive and European.</p><p>I am assuming oil paint over top of a white plaster with a clear varnish. It is also what seems to be European Oak base as wood from what little raw wood I can see.</p><p><br /></p><p>Interesting points of interest it the head piece is unique along with nail polish and make up.
