Necklace- Native American?

Hi all,what is the possible age of this? Maybe 70’s? Older? Is what is stated below in terms of origin possibly correct?
Or is it just Native American in style? Or a combination of styles? Thanks for help.

Also regarding the clasp:

Not Native American but inspired by a Southwestern Native American style.
It will look a lot happier after the silver has been cleaned.

The silver beads are indeed liquid silver, but the style of the hook of the clasp is not traditional SW NA.

The coral looks like genuine branch coral, so a bead made from piece of coral branch without being shaped into a conventional bead shape.
There are no spiny oyster beads.

The turquoise coloured beads look like glass, but they could be 'block turquoise', which is synthetic material that contains no real turquoise.

The white beads could be shell.

I think later, 1980s-90s maybe.

 

Branch coral was a thing in the 1970s. What's the length?

It is still popular among some people, for instance collectors of ethnic (Moroccan) jewellery.
It could also have been sourced from an older necklace, it looks Mediterranean.

 

Thank you. I should have written "Branch coral started to be a fashion thing in the 1970s." Part of surf culture along with puka shells. (But, of course, it was used in ethnic jewelry before.)

And in fashion jewellery from ca 1890-the 1930s.
Some Mediterranean red branch coral that was used in late 20th century necklaces was sourced from 1920s-30s necklaces. This necklace could have been made with such beads, they have that old Sciacca coral colour.

 

I've restrung those branch corals before. It's fairly tedious. Before seeing any comments, my brain said "1970s Native American-influenced design necklace." They were popular in the USA. The shell beads are indeed shell, but any old shell and nothing in particular. The turquoise...isn't. I totally agree that shining up the silver would make it much happier.

 

never seen that clasp before....it looks unreliable .....

& I always shied away from liquid silver...keeping it clean is a bitch !
