    I don't know that it's fair to call it a copy of anything. It's a walking lion: it's bound to bear a resemblance to other walking lion figurines. Ens isn't an unknown maker. They were no Meissen or Rosenthal, but they did nice stuff. Now that you're aware of the name, you'll notice other pieces cropping up.

    Ens has always had a following.
    IMHO they are better quality than Beswick. Finer modeling and better quality materials.
    Ens stuff has a distinctive appearance that once you've seen a few pieces becomes pretty easy to spot...and they're always marked.
