Need help identifying and value

    This is in a house I bought.
    I know nothing about it.
    Found only 1 type of mark

    Can we see the item ? I think maybe thats Russian,but Im often wrong. Is the item a samovar?

    I suspect that the picture of the mark is upside down.

    Take your pick!!! I flipped it to what looks like right side up for first...maybe a tankard of some sort???? In which case the second image would be the correct orientation, but still doesn't specifically identify it!!!:happy:

    It is. It looks Cyrillic Т.Ю. edit, T. K. I don't know what the item is, though. It may help.

    Anyway, it is a Russian samovar, Kolchuginskiy factory. Found the mark in Russian forum discussion.

    Товарищество латунного и меднопрокатного заводов А. Кольчугина»
    Edit: it is not Т.Ю, it is Т.К., K is stylised. From Kolchugin, I guess. T is for Tovarischestvo - literary comradeship, a form of entrepreneurship in tsarist Russia.

    Johnny, you are right, it is Russian.

    From the mark, the samovar seems from imperial Russia, after 1917 ithe factory was nationalised and used different marks.
