Need help identifying blanket...

This is from an elderly person's estate. I obtained it in the 1990's. I think it is a lovely blanket but know very little about its origins. It is wool. It is 48" x 68". If possible, I would like to know what the symbols may mean or represent. Is it authentic? It looks a little too perfect to be old, but would still like to have the information. Thanks in advance for your assistance. Also, was struggling to post pictures from my computer as I could not reduce/resize the image to a small enough size to post without zip compression.

I agree. "Chimayo" refers to the tradition of Hispanic weavers in New Mexico. Your blanket is very typical of a style that was made in the mid-twentieth century and later. Here is a similar example -
