Need Help Identifying Signature on Bronze Statue

I recently picked up a bronze statue (Blind Lady Justice) at a Goodwill Thrift Store.

This statue has NO 'added' stone/marble base like what you frequently see appearing on similar statues on the internet...the statue I have is ALL bronze, including the 4 base 'tiers' at the bottom. (Not sure what else to call these)

The statue weighs 28 lbs, all bronze weight.

The entire statue measures approx. 32.50" tall from base to top of hand (see pics)
The very lowest bronze 'tier' measures approx. 8.50" in diameter, 1" tall.
There looks to be 4 bronze tiers/levels all together and then the main statue sits on top of these 4 tiers. All combined height of the 4 tiers measure 3" inches tall.

The bottom of the main statue is where the signature has been incised directly into the bronze. This is most certainly an incised signature, not stamped, and not raised, but I can't make it out.
I thought the name started with an M?? but then I thought perhaps it was an A??
I can't find anything that even comes close to looking like this signature.

On the rim of the very lowest tier, there is a 4 digit stamp (2133) with the 21 being stamped slightly lower than the 33. There is no apparent / mark between the digits. This stamp is located directly beneath signature, but on the rim of the very lowest tier. (see pics)

It looks like someone before me tested the bronze by performing a few scratch tests in a few places...all of which appear to be good as the color showing through the scratches is a bright gold coloring. The inside of the base is rough (see pics)

I have no doubts that this statue is indeed solid bronze and that the patina is also genuine (not created using chemicals to appear old) but I just can't make out the signature, or otherwise identify the founders mark.

While there are numerous bronze "Blind Lady Justice" statues of similar size appearing on the internet, NONE of them look like this one, especially the base tiers and the detail that shows in the dress and so forth. If anyone can help identify the signature and/or the 4 digit stamp I would greatly appreciate it.

    @Roaring20s
Initially, I thought this was a Mayer statue too, but it's the signature..it's throwing me off. May I ask how it is that you came to this conclusion that this is a "By or after Alois Mayer"? Can you show me a specific signature image from the link you provided that looks similar to that on this statue I found.
Also, the very bottom tier in most of the statues that appear on that website look to be 1/2" at most. None of the photos, especially the bases resemble the same as my statue.

Now this particular website featuring the Steiner statue is one that I pulled up yesterday and the base, especially, the very bottom tier, which looks to be the same heigh (1") caught my eye but unfortunately, the signature is not even close to being the same. :/

Sorry for all of the questions...
How does one determine if this piece was "By or after Alois Mayer"?

Is there are other telltale signs I need to be looking for besides the 4 digits that are tamped on the statue I have?

How much do you think a statue of this size (32.5" tall, or 82.5cm) could be worth?

I paid $100 at the Goodwill thrift store. I figured if nothing else, 28 lbs of bronze should be worth pretty close to that much in melt/scrap value but I will be tickled pink if this turns out to be worth considerably more than what I paid for it.

I should add that the sword moves freely up and down about an inch or so inside the hand but cannot otherwise be removed from the hand (hope that makes sense). I don't know how something like that was achieved. Bronze Statue Sword.jpeg Bronze Statue Sword 2.jpeg Bronze Statue Sword 3.jpeg

As the scales are missing, that will probably affect the price a lot...

Here's one (with marble base), also without the scales. Estimate $200-$300, while the one from the other link, that had the scales, had an estimate of $500-$900.
And in both cases "passed" :sorry:

Yes..and both were much smaller too...with this one that you highlighted as being only 25" which included the marble base.

Mine is 32.5 inches tall (82.5 cm)..and that's with no base added and a whopping 28 lbs.
I have no doubts the missing scales will lower the value though....

As far as value though...I guess, just like with everything else, it's only worth as much as what someone is willing to pay for it. For me, it was worth $100
