On the other side appears to be a palm tree scene with swords crossing and some kind of script. A patent number I can't make out entirely on the bottom and more script and designs. It looks like some sort of soldering was done where the cap is hinged to the base and around the inside of the lid. Or maybe that's just the way the metal wore down. About 10.76" tall from foot base to pointed tip. About 8.75" and three-quarter inch across from point of beak to outside handle.
