Need help identifying

    The lace may look atypical, but the little roll of fabric around the headdress looks like a Japanese fabric.

    @2manybooks Yes, the fabric on the bonnet is Japanese. Maybe it was handmade for the recipient of the doll by mom or grandma. Just a guess. Anything is possible!

    Thank you Valentine, the hat in a separate bag and not on the doll originally makes perfect sense. It isn't Japanese, the Japanese don't have a tradition of wearing lace.
    It could have come from a Hungarian costume doll.
