    "...digestus." Johann Herwagen is credited as compiler in the colophon, but Erasmus is likewise credited, "Erasmo Roterodamo recognitus..." as editor and translator in the dedicatory letter and caption headings, and the preamble - the Life of Saint John Chrysostomus - is likewise wholly Erasmus' work. Selderhuis cites Erasmus specifically as, "editor."
