I bought this etching in a thrift shop and am hoping to find out who is the artist is. A friend helped me decipher that it read "Original Radierung" which is how I got to "etching" but I can't figure out the artist. Any direction would be helpful. I am very new to the world of art! deer-picture.jpg artist.jpg type.jpg

    Welcome to the Forum, 7katz!
Can you add photos of the title (center) and the signature on the print please?

It's hard to get a good photo of the artist's name but it looks like "inathy" with a "41" after it. It's right on the fabric. artist-1.jpg picture-bottom.jpg

    doesn't make sense to me.
    Original Radierung
    Rehe im Winter
    original etching
    roes in winter

never heard in German that they use the term Radierung for a print on silk or other fabric. or they mean that the original was an etching by the unknown artist and then copied for printing on fabric.

Screen printing? "Pixels" at high magnification from stencil mesh?

It's a mystery all right. I am going to have it reframed so perhaps unbundling it will reveal more clues. Thanks for taking a look! I really appreciate your time.
