Need help with tapestry

Measures about 85 inches in length and 36 inches wide.very light material. When I found it the material seemed stuck together

    I'd bet on it being rayon.

    Veri nice, Jtw. I agree, probably rayon, machine-woven, so not a tapestry. A lot of these were made in Turkey, still are, but this looks like an older one.

    Is 85" the correct measurement? 7'?
    That is really really long.

    Yes it is 85 inches in length

    With that length, perhaps it was meant to simply be a decorative wall hanging.
    Agree that from the photos provided it does appear like machine-woven rayon.
