    Hello,
I've recently come across these gorgeous beads and I know nothing about them. They appear to be Yemeni(te) but I'm really not sure as to their provenance. Can anyone give me a hand? Much appreciated.

Hello @Raluca & welcome to the forum!!:happy:

Could you give us some measurements? They appear to be metal - are they attracted to a magnet? Are they any marks of any kind that you can see? Where are you located & where did you find these beads?

Hello. I live in Europe, (Romania). There's a guy selling them online, claiming they're Yemeni(te) silver. There are no markings of any kind on them. Has anyone seen anything resembling these? Any help would be appreciated.[IMG]

@Raluca , I wonder if they are from much closer to you, the Balkans.
As far as I know, Yemen never made hinged beads. Europe did.

They remind me of a 'blempiesknoop', hinged ambergris containers from Volendam, the Netherlands, but the general feel is more Balkans imo.

    'blempiesknoop', hinged:
