Send it to me. I'll pay for shipping.
I can't trust myself to say anything acceptable about your intent to burn it.

42 comes from what appears when clicking on your avatar... So it must be YOUR age (when you joined Antiquers and filled your infos) The stool doesn't deserve to be burnt if it MAY be 42;)
You may understand most of us will CRINGE when hearing your saying "going to the burn pile":nailbiting::facepalm:

In the BEST way! As African ceremonial masks which "have danced" versus touristic or export pieces:)

    Obviously not long enough.
Please send the stool to 2manybooks, at least she has the love and the knowledge to appreciate ethnic art.

Looks like that furniture they were selling not too long ago here in Mobile and it was made in the islands or the orient somewhere.

Unless there is a concern of infestation, I can’t understand this practice.
What people do with their stuff is their business, but isn’t it more productive to donate so someone else can use or enjoy? Jus’ sayin’

I just read that the 10,000 or so Trobriand Islanders have been selling their heirlooms to pay for simple commodities. They can't earn money in your imaginary factories, because there are none in the Trobriand Islands, obviously.
Now you insult them by burning their heritage, in spite of the fact that someone has already offered to pay for shipping.
If you don't appreciate it, you could have sold it and donated the money to a Trobriand Island education fund or something. But destruction it has to be.

Why did you ask about the stool if you didn't want to listen to those who know?
Komo, 2many, and I are known to have knowledge of ethnic art, and we say this is a good piece. But you'd rather believe some unproven story that this stool could have been made in 'the islands or the orient somewhere'. Is it because you had already made up your mind to burn another people's cultural legacy?
I wonder what someone who has no respect for culture and genuine items is even doing here.
