I expanded my thrift store treasure hunting today! I found this cool, old(?) double sided wood 'Whittlin Knives' hanging sign!
I tried google image search but it must be 1 of a kind. Folk art? How old?

The 2nd thing I saw, liked & bought was a cool 2 level, 2 color (chrome & gold) table base - google image search found something similar that was described a 70's Pierre Cardin style coffee table?
Is this from the 70's? What should I call it? (it's 36" long x 8" wide - a hallway table?)
    Did Pierre Cardin have/design furniture?
Any thoughts or information on it would be greatly appreciated!

Finally - I saw this painting but couldn't find anything on the artist - but may have spelled it wrong (I thought it was a Jewish /Judaica painting but even though the signature is in script & hard to read; it doesn't look like a Jewish name to me).
I asked the manager to hold it for a day till I could see what I could find out - can anyone tell me anything about it?
It's priced at $69 which I can't pay that unless I know it's a known/listed artist - any help is appreciated on this one guys!
    Thank You!

Like the sign, looks as if all you need is a piece of replacement glass for the table. I would pass on the painting though looks like a tourist offering to me.

Old Italian guy, no Judaica and you're right, no Jewish name. As Houseful said, a souvenir. Low factory quality and grossly overpriced.

Thank you both - I've got enough paintings now (over 400) to get another factory/souvenir one!

But it looks like I scored on table ($75 - THANK YOU houseful!) and knives sign ($100) !

Good pick JM-The folk art actual shop used signs are hot on Ebay.I'd put it up for auction w/ a good reserve-doesn't have to be 19th Century when it's folk art advertising.
PS-The painting is a pass-unless people are buying original Jewish Leprechaun Art.

Here is the table at home & outside before taking it inside + I wanted to show you a MCM standing champagne bucket or a magazine holder? (1 question - what is best way to clean the leg on it; a friend said Number 7 brass cleaner?) & a cool MCM looking triangle shaped chrome painting tripod.
PS - Notice I didn't buy any paintings!

Nice trove of Hollywood/Italiano Regency, and KUDOS amigo for refraining from buying bad Art ! You're becoming a Good Art Human Metal Detector-and there should be lots hiding in your neighborhood.
Since you're so close (5-10 miles ?) to Miami's Rich & Famous, could you put some kind of ad in that neighborhoods local newspaper ? I know it's been done, but maybe you could fig out some new 'pickin lingo' for the Calssifieds.

It isn't MCM, but it does look like a wine cooler to me, so champagne is also fine.

And far. But there's a show in a palm every other week or last Sun of month I'm thinking of trying.
