    Someone took quite good care of those. The upholstery looks almost pristine.

    They look positively Deco or Moderne. Definitely worth preserving, or using. If I needed furniture I'd give those house room for sure.

    Think the "Do Not Remove" tag dates to 1948. Someone will know for sure.

    I suspect Grandma and Grandpa's parlor set or something similar. Near a big city on the East Coast that would sell sooooo fast. Probably in Cali too. No clue about elsewhere.

    A late 40s to early 50s date seems right. This type of furniture certainly has a following. Really depends on how it sits, as people want to use them. Last similar chair I had, bottomed out when you sat in it. Had lots of people attracted to it but were put off by how it sat. Finally sold it to a woman who weighed next to nothing.... LOL!

    Stuff a piece of foam under the seat and...problem solved.
