    Glad to be part of this community. Hello to everyone here, where ever that may be. On that note I'd just like to say isn't it wonderful how culturally diverse antiques are and inturn bring us all together here.
    I myself enjoy unraveling the mystery pieces hold.
    Apprication through understanding. Intrigued by asperations of the maker. Every unknown stamp, chop, signiture is a treasure map. Some more valuable then others.

    Welcome, HIH. In answer to your opening question, When they pry it from my cold, dead hands. Our US members & some others will know what I mean.

    I totally agree. Some portions of my collections I'd happily take a decent profit margin over what I paid but for my for my favorites you would have to pry them out of my cold, dead hands. I would not be surprised if some collectors are entombed with their favorite pieces.
