Couldn't resist this, fit my lady's noggin perfectly ! Now I guess we'll just need to rent her a tux when the right occasion occurs.
Any guesses as to age-it's made of silk nap (I think),as to whether its rough or smooth nap-yer guess is as good,or better, than mine. Thanks All-nuthin' like a new (old) Topper !

DB2D0B88-A170-44E8-A09A-9036CF2CA2E6.jpeg Very cool and it looks to be in great condition. An old top hat is one of the first ‘old things’ I ever remember buying (not sure but it must have been over 30 years ago) I still have it.

My guess with the photos provided would be vintage, rather than antique (pretty vague, I know!) but still with significant age.
Can we see a photo that shows the entire interior hat band? Anything behind the hat band? Also, a good close-up of the size tag with ribbon bow could be helpful.
    Great hat!

The label is great. Definitely older, thinking antique based on style of when men were wearing top hats. Unless this company made reproductions, this is likely an antique hat, or very close to antique, 1930s at latest. It looks to be in absolute pristine condition.

But it appears the brand continued on under the new ownership.

It was $40-but we never see them in the States & the size was good. Here's a pic of the full inner band, leather band closeup & the label under the band.
Thanks all-I think you're all in the right time range,20's-30's-I agree, you've nailed it.
