Featured New or Old? Wood Document box?

    I think this is a document box. At least it was while I was storing MY documents! LOL!!

    Anyway, whatcha all think?

    Personally, I think it looks too "old" looking to be truly old. Perhaps it was made to look old?

    Made to resemble old, from the look of it. Not made to fake anyone out.

    Agreed. Stressed to look aged and traveled. Looks to be a new(ish) import piece from Asia.

    It looks like a vintage Swat Valley box to me, from Pakistan. The Swat Valley lies along the Pakistan-Afghan border.
    It was probably a valuables box, I don't know if literacy levels were high in the region.
