New to the Board - Hello Everyone!

    Hi Folks - I've been invited to introduce myself - thank you for opportunity. My name is Don and I live in Indiana. I helped on the ebay Pottery and Glass board for a few years but I had trouble adjusting to the frequent format changes and also started a new job that required more of my time. I have recently retired. I've been an antiques collector/dealer for 20 years or so specializing in American glass and pottery (e.g McCoy, Fenton, etc.). I've since branched out a bit to European china and pottery. It's hard to find glass, china, or pottery that I don't like. I have a pretty extensive research library and will help when I can. My guilty little secret is sometimes I buy things just to research them. Looking forward to working with everybody.

    Welcome to the board. I have occasionally purchased things just because I liked the maker's mark - especially some of those Victorian and Edwardian ones.

    Hi Don,
    Welcome to the forum/board. I am sure you will remember a lot people here. Some have changed their names "to protect the innocent". We need to see and like to help ID antiques. In some cases especially glass and china.:rolleyes:

    Welcome! (I'm guilty of buying things for the pleasure of learning more about them. In fact that's how I got started buying ceramics in the first place, I wanted to touch and examine some 18th C pieces and I was having a hard time finding places to actually touch enough. It turned out to be easier just to buy some. I know where you're coming from.)
