Good Morning and thank you for allowing me into your group. I have come in to quite a bit of mostly vintage costume jewelry and have been researching for weeks now. My intent is to sell this jewelry I am just not sure where, everyone says ebay but I would like to think there are other places as well.

I am having a hard time even with my loop figuring out the stamps, pics etc. Is this a good place for Q&A on such items.

    Thank you

Hello and welcome Ladydidi65. You are so wise to identify your treasures before attempting to sell.
I rent space in 2 antique malls and good quality costume jewelry displayed in showcases works for me. When I have something extra special, I pay a commission to a friend with a very high performance record on eBay to sell for me.
There is a wealth of knowledge and very helpful people on this site to assist in identification...bring it on!

Looking forward to your pictures. Important to post both front and back photos plus a close-up of the closure or fastening assembly.

Thank you I am looking for any info on the really pretty necklace. It has a crown stamp and is 14k gold. It is 18” long and I am looking to sell it but not sure about the stones there is a black stone a gold bead and a small possibly pearl sequence to it I tried to get a picture of the stamp but having no luck, I rubbed the pearls across my teeth and they feel gritty so I was told that it is real it is the black stones I do not know what they are. Any help would be appreciated Necklace.jpg

Without dis-assembling the necklace, it would be difficult to test the gold spacer beads to test for gold content. If you have a gold test kit and there is enough slack in the stringing, you may be able to rub a corner of the test stone on the gold spacers.
I have a feeling the black stones may be glass...is that a small chip I see on the bead, seven in on the right?

It's a start. You can look at how others list their jewellery, and at the prices once you've identified your 'stuff'.
I was already replying to bobsyouruncle when your post appeared.;)
There are all sorts of information pages on Etsy.
Doesn't matter if your Etsy listing isn't perfect at first, you can edit them at any time, even two years later.

lol sorry I thought he was going to send me a pm. Regarding Etsy, I will look it up but I like to search sold listings on ebay first, then I can get an idea of a price but do not know what to type in search bar
