    The photo posted of the plate in the Nippon collector book is so bright and the colors are viviid. Is your plate like that? Are your photos just not showing the plate as well as the book does?

    Sorry late to the party.
    The plate is real! I would say about 1910 to 1920.
    Unfortunately, Nippon doesn't sell for the high prices it used to. An appraisal would cost more than the plate is worth, but as mentioned some auction houses will give
    you an estimated value if they are at all interested. I don't sell Nippon, but I buy a lot and some of the rarest are not as valuable as we would hope.
