Not a known artist, but what are your thoughts?

This is not for research, but interesting. 40 Years ago, when our son was 4 years old, I went to pick him up from nursery school when I saw this painting, entitled "A ship on stormy seas" "Whoah" I said "who painted that"? "Your son" was the answer "and he painted another identical one for you to take home" He never did anything like that again. He was asked to paint a picture, aged 4, he did , twice, and that was enough. He was never a doer, just a keen observer. He never took up art, and I often think "what if"

 

Wow, he had talent. Probably still has.
My uncle only took up painting after he was retired, and went on to teach art, which he did until well into his eighties. It is never too late to start.
