How big is it? Heavy like iron? Anything on the other side?

It seems like the logo to a company...C.I. or I.C. but the other questions still need to be answered to really help.

Could the I be meant for railroad tracks?

It is approximately an inch and a half it is definitely like a of cast iron metal material. It is heavy weighing 0.15oz. That's what I thought the logo was C I maybe or C C I.

I was thinking the smaller C&O were for Co. It does look like an older ladder. Maybe some kind of pin to secure something? Like a lynch pin type of fastener?

Agree. Best guess CI Co. & a pin that was put in & taken out regularly as part of its function.

Looks like either IC Co or CI Co and either a ladder or a railway line.

    That's a newer design.
Looks like this is made from cast iron, so doubt it would be for a bottle.
Like Bronwen said more like a pin than a stopper. (I sometimes use the wrong words - sorry. You need to double check me)

I think I may know how it was used though not what company or exact product you have.

Quite some time ago I got an old tear-catcher/lachrymatory/perfume bottle with a replacement metal stopper. I think that what I have is probably what you have.

Mine says Dennison's Paste/Adhesives and from what I found was the stopper end of a tube. Mine is metal that appears to have been silvered at one time and measures exactly 1½" in length.

What I have, not it's original stopper but still works.
