    I know.:(:sorry:
I use a combination of alternative/complimentary meds and CBD oil capsules. That way I've got it down to a dull roar with the occasional sharp flare-up to remind me. Don't really need any reminders though.

And the 'beauty and funnies therapy' really helps. And this forum of course.:)

Sorry to hear you get it as well Aj, it's awfull. When it comes on its hard to know what to do with yourself, I can't even lie down sometimes, as that can trigger it further

Every position can be a problem. Diversion and relaxation are best.
Do you know how to meditate? I know it doesn't bear thinking of when things are bad. But if you can manage it, even for a few minutes to start with, it will help too.
Combined approaches work best, there is no one miracle cure.

Hi, yeah I did a short course on meditation years ago
Yeah I used to years ago, there was a great one called the body scan meditation , where you go from your toes all the way up slowly breathing into each area, I shall definitely try it again

My daughter, who is a YOUNG woman, suffers from CRPS (chronic regional pain syndrome) Type 2, an insidious, painful disease.

She takes Lyrica (nasty stuff), uses medical marijuana, has participated - and continues to participate - in Ketamine trials, practices yoga and meditation daily, and still rarely finds substantial relief.

I feel for every single one of you who must endure chronic pain.

I am very sorry to hear that, SBS. Sadly that can strike at any age, the human body is not impressed by statistics saying the average age of onset is 50.

I used to have a last resort healing practice, where I got referrals from other healers and medical professionals.
I worked with a method passed down by my Indonesian ancestors, much of which is based on a 'reset' of the body. A beautiful method and not invasive in any way, but too complicated to explain just like that.
It is often said that you have to believe in healing, but this is a way which bypasses the psyche and any preconceptions. The patient has to give his or her permission, of course.
I had to stop because of my own health issues, which started at age 6 but got worse over the years. The prime cause is genetic, but it led to many other conditions, which is usual in this kind of disease.
This may sound strange, but I found CRPS easy to heal because there was usually a clearly defined starting point to the condition, often an accident that caused chaos in the system. That meant I could 'reset' the body's memory to before the accident, and relief usually started within a week, with no more symptoms within one to two months.
I wish I knew of others using this method, but unfortunately I don't. I am only telling you this so you know that, should you ever hear of someone who works with the body's memory and has a good reputation, it is worth a try. It shouldn't cost the earth either.

AJ, I SO wish we could find someone able to do what you are discussing here. The fact that such a practice might exist truly gives me hope.

My daughter did indeed have a traumatic injury when she was in her late teens, and after two major surgeries - and enough drugs to last several lifetimes - she is very much open to alternative treatments.

Thank you for your input. I know she reads/has read more about her condition than the average person, but I'm going to discuss your post with her and see if there might be someone out there who can help in the way you've mentioned.

    Thank you again!

OHhhhhhhh - Tooth pain - the absolute worse! ! ! Over 5 years of problems, dentists, endontists, oral surgeons - waking up in the middle of the night with shooting pain to the top of the head.

    I really feel for you.

I hope you will, but make sure it is someone with a good reputation. I used to work long distance, and have never seen most of my clients, just had phone and mail contact. So ideally she wouldn't have to travel.
It is a terrible condition, and she also has to cope with the loss of her health, work, possibly social contacts. It is like a bereavement, mourning the loss of a loved one. Maybe she needs help to cope with that, which will also improve her quality of life somewhat.
I wish you and her all the best, and would love to know if you find someone.

Thank you again, AJ. What you say here is so absolutely what she's been going through. She is an incredibly bright, well-traveled young woman with multiple advanced degrees, yet she has not been able to work for a while now, which is debilitating, in and of itself.

She is fortunate to have a strong support system, both within her own family (her Dad & me, as well as her younger brother and his wife-to-be) and with her partner and his young children, which is especially important, since she has come to the realization that she most likely will not be able to have children of her own.

AJ, I will be certain to let you know if and when we come across someone who might be able to help in the way you have mentioned. You truly have given me hope!

Thanks cc, certainly is. I'm not even sure it is problem teeth, just all down one side, teeth neck arm head. It's my 3rd flare up this year, can happen on either side as well.

Will go and see gp on Tuesday

Hi aj, yeah most definitely, especially jaw, but only on problem side

For what ever reason, sitting flares everything up, but standing up walking around improves it

Try magnesium tablets or capsules. That helps relax muscles.
All muscles, so if you get the runs, lower the dosage or stop for a while.;) Make sure you also have enough calcium in your diet, probably no problem, but magnesium and calcium like to be balanced to keep you functioning properly.

I was/am also an orthomolecular nutritionist. Did the course because I noticed that some of my clients only needed tweaking of their diet or extra supplements to solve some of their health issues.

Thanks for the tip aj, that's very good to know, as a muscle relaxer would help wonders. I was going to go down the whiskey route, but a hangover on top of this - I think not !!

Magnesium is safer.:D Also safer than prescription muscle relaxants.
I use it a lot. And I mean A LOT. Without magnesium I wouldn't be able to type this.
