    As a long-time crocheter, I'd find that thing very unwieldy. Looks like a homemade thingamabob cobbled together from a crochet hook, a thimble and the handle from an awl. Awkward.

    I recently found some sterling Bayanihan earrings - EDIT - Thomas Burn ...Massachusetts... I believe who spent time in the Philippines working for the Peace Corps... That's where the name comes from.
