Recently obtained this octagonal table that someone was giving away for free. I have tried to find some information on it as I’m intrigued all I could find was someone selling the same table for 3k, I imagine this is a very exaggerated price.

it’s from England and apparently late 19th century.

many info would be great thank you

Hi, Leon! I've taken the liberty of reposting your photographs as Full Image (instead of Thumbnail) so they're easier for everyone to see. You'll want to remember to do that in the future. And, not to worry, all new members do the same thing in his/her first post.

Moderator - might this thread be moved to Furniture, where it will get more attention?

Probably a decade or so older. Has some elements of the Renaissance Revival period. Really not a lot of value these days. Not sure why anyone would think it is worth $3K :rolleyes:

It's a totally usable table and restrained enough to fit into a flat-pack minimalist's decor. Small enough to fit into a smaller apartment too. Three grand though... not even in the 80s when Victorian decor was white hot.

Think my best bet would to give it some TLC and find a nice corner to put it in
