Featured Odd pottery bowl - Japanese?

I got this bowl yesterday at a barn sale. I bought it even though it has a chip because I've never seen one like it.
It seems to be a pinch pot. The bottom is unglazed, but appears to have a five petaled flower roughly formed into it.
The glaze is quite nice, and I love the bird.
Can anyone help me with age, origin, anything?

Try Seto Celadon as keywords for a search.

That's all I know. Could be Japanese, Chinese or Korean. But those keywords bring up the most hits of similar items.

Woohoo! Yours looks better made and better decorated. I noticed how the gold really pops when the light hits it from your pictures.
