Surrounded by snow, and inspired by a comment on another thread and by a photo-post here, I'm posting these to see if anyone spots anything they'd be interested in seeing a closer view of:

No ugly carpet, I'm afraid, but the unpressed pillowcase is designed to similarly impress.

The necklace and bracelet at no. 10 are stamped to show the metal is pewter from Denmark. The beads at no. 4 are very light -- plastic? Everything else is a mystery to me -- the items could be expensive gifts, art school projects or tourist tat.

    Thanks in advance, as always.

14 is a very modern made in china to look like Murano dichroic glass pendant.

11 is 1970s wire wrapped agate.

    1 are prayer beads.

    5 is 30s Bohemian /Czech

The Egyptian one might be silver.

6 may be haemetite, is it heavy and cold?

4 needs a UV light on it.

    3 may be coral

9 proably what Ruth calls random dyed rock.

    I like the Danish set.

I like the Danish set also.

But know nothing of any of them to be of any help to you.............:(

Thanks for that quick and helpful response, Ownedbybear!

Yes, 6 is cold and heavy.

I need to get a UV lamp for stamps, can I kill two birds with one stone?

Absolutely. I've got a cheap UV torch which works really well. No 6 may also be slightly magnetic.

I think the Danish set is 70s from the style. Can you get a photo of the mark?

Please send me 3,5, the danish set and 13 for closer inspection and evaluation. Obviously, this may take some time (like a lifetime):hilarious:

Thanks. Yes, 6 is slightly magnetic (it will pick up a light fridge magnet but cannot itself be picked up with any magnet I own).

The Danish bracelet is marked Jørgen Jensen:

The necklace does not in fact have a mark. I could have sworn I saw one earlier. The style and stones of the two pieces still seem similar, though:

Um WOW. That bracelet has got serious value. I don't think the necklace is related: can you get a close up of the stones and back please?

Of course, I'll put them in the post right away. To keep you going until they arrive, here are some more detailed photos:

I've only got my phone out today and don't have a lightbox, so hope these are good enough. Will post necklace close-ups shortly.

Now the necklace. Maybe this was the art school project I had in mind when I wrote my OP?

    Great haul, Hamburger.

Those coral beads are the real deal, and look antique.

Are the beads on #1 the tesbih/tasbeh bone?

I'm with obb on #3, probably amber, a UV light will tell us more.
    And #6 is haematite.

#7 rice seed pearls with what looks like lapis lazuli beads?

    #9 is faux turquoise.

Jørgen Jensen is a good design name, but doesn't have enormous value. If I remember correctly, Jørgen used to work for Georg Jensen, but the two are not related. Jørgen Jensen worked mostly in pewter, like your set.

No Swiss marks or Swiss fineness.;)
830 was used a lot in Germany, and they have edelweiss too, and gentian, the other flower. The pendant is German Historic Revival imo, my guess 1930s-50s, although the historic style is still worn with Bavarian costumes.

The multichain necklace (kropfkette) with the coral(?) beads is from southern Germany or Austria. No great age, but I am sure it looks very elegant when worn.

Thank you all for your input so far. It really is fascinating to see what knowledgeable folks have to say about pieces one knows next to nothing about.

Southern Germany would make sense. These came from my wife's mother and a couple of the older items probably belonged to her mother.

A UV light is on order!

There seems to be confusion surrounding the name Jørgen, maybe @DragonflyWink can enlighten us.:)

I found something on this Dutch site: https://vintage-jewels.nl/DESIGNERS
"Jorgen Jensen (geboren in 1931) is niet de tweede zoon van Georg Jensen zoals vaak wordt verondersteld. Wel heeft Jorgen kort gewerkt bij Georg Jensen en heet de tweede zoon van Georg toevalligerwijze ook Jorgen."

"Jorgen Jensen (born 1931) is not Georg Jensen's second son as is often assumed. Jorgen did work for Georg Jensen for a short time and Georg's second son is coincidentally also called Jorgen."

Wikipedia has Georg Jensen's family tree, with only daughters.:dead:

    Yup, I found assorted claims!

Can I just say how much I adore the Dutch word for coincidentally.
