    For anyone needing a laugh, the UV lamp arrived and got more of a response from chipboard and thread than it did to the beads of necklace number 4:

    That’s part of the fun!. Items you think may glow don’t and occasionally something random really lights up.
    My UV torch needs shaking or hitting on my leg to make it work. High quality tech :rolleyes:

    I'm sure you're right, even though my current success rate is 0%. ;)

    I needed the UV light source for more than one reason -- and as a bonus have discovered new things about my passport and some of the stamps in it. :)

    I'm revisiting the fob (item 13) and have been consulting reference resources this site has pointed me towards, but I can't find the mark (EL?) anywhere. Anyone? Pretty please?

    As a reminder, everyone thinks that the piece is likely to be from Germany, Austria or one of the neighbours. There are no other marks that I can see.
