Old chair ... on the bonfire

Anyhow, go buy a tin of old fashioned saddle soap and clean the leather with it, you'll be amazed how it comes up. Give the wood on the chair and the bookcase a good dust with an old paintbrush, then wipe with an almost dry wrung out microfibre cloth. A smear of proper beeswax on the wood and a good polish with an old soft towel.
