Here's what I'm guessing,is an old club. I picked it
up years ago, can't remember where and no tags or info.
Wether it was used beat laundry, stir soup-who the heck knows.
It's 29 1/2" long, had carved and has little notches on the underside of the handle and seems to have some age-how much I can't say.
Any info would be mighty appreciated.

The basic shape, and the chip-carved designs, point to it being a Samoan nifo'oti, whose carved wooden hook on the end has been broken off.

Several styles of these weapons have been made since the 1800s, and are said to be based on traditional cane knives or possibly on blubber knifes introduced by the Europeans. The most popular style features a row of notched "teeth" on the side opposite where the hook would be. Although this one lacks the teeth, other styles were made for ceremonies, and similar forms are still used in dances today.
