Featured Old Family Photo Album Fun

Thanks -- I had guessed that one was early 1890s. Since Dakota Territory was no longer that by then, I think it could indeed be the use of old card stock. Or the photo could also be from the very late 1880s.

 

I thought I’d post a few more from the albums. Folks seem to enjoy it and it makes me happy.
Almost all of them are labeled on the back and some are dated. As these are relatives of mine I’m so thankful for this! We should all label all our photos and not take for granted that future generations will know who’s who when we’re gone.

The one with the three top hats made me think of Steeplechase in Coney Island (Brooklyn, NY). But it's not the one from there...

@Shwikman, I'm pretty sure on the back of that image of the boy, you can see it says '8 years'......but I wasn't able to pull any other writing out.....I think I can see some other writing, but too much damage for ME to pull more out.....sorry.....LOVE your images though!!!!
