I picked up these goggles today because I love their look. They are “Protector” goggles, made by Giuseppe Ratti but, beyond that, researching them isn’t turning out to be easy as I’ve had no luck finding a matching pair. Would any of you happen to know when they date to, and what their intended use (aviation, automobile, etc.) may have been? Thanks!

Yes, I’d say so. They look and feel very well made.

The created of Protector glasses and their use can be found on the Persol link above... Under "1917-1930."
