Old hand scale - Need info

    Any info I can get on this hand scale and weights will be appreciated. This is not mine I'm posting it for a friend. The only marks are the signature on the inside lid and what is marked on the brass weights. I know this isn't a forum for posting values of items but a ballpark figure in this case might help......:facepalm::stop:

    I'm guessing they are names of gold coins - I can also make out "Doubloon" and "Half Doubloon"
