Got this out of an abandoned building from a foundry. Unfortunately the other one had the glass broken. Seems to me 220v ? - anybody ever see one like this? Should I leave as is or refurbish it and actually get it working? I think I have a bulb for it upstairs but will have to wire a receptacle to plug it in. 000_7950.jpg 000_7951.jpg 000_7952.jpg

Yes the description says aluminum. Will keep an eye out for others.

If you are going to use it in your house, would you want it to look like that?

I'd clean, sand and paint it. Then use it. Cool lamp.

I’d just get a 220v. “Dryer plug” and switch it with the present “twist lock” plug, if u have a dryer outlet that is. Yes looks very similar to that one at link.

"industrial" is en vogue. just gave one to an old friend yesterday.
looks like an old E40 socket, but you easily get adapters to lower the diameter to normal E27.

Aluminum never shows this type of corrosion. rather white or pot metal.
