It is funny, but I purchased this holder many months ago in same time with few other Antique / Vintage French items, but I didn't pay attention to it.:joyful:

About the stones....Well, I just checked online: "Antique French Crystal" and it was a big surprise how it is expensive. I think I should find the site for appraisal my holder. So interesting.:playful:

As others said, it's not ormolu. For one thing, it's not old enough by close to 100 years.

Ok. If not, how it called? I found this the only description which matched to my item: "Ormolu filigree" refers to decorative jewelry or objects featuring a golden or gilded (brass or bronze) base, often with intricately detailed filigree work. The filigree adds delicate, intricate patterns and embellishments to the ormolu.

Ormolu is a process which was not used in the manufacture of your item so it is incorrect to refer to it as such. I would call it more accurately "goldtone."

Completely understandable. It's easy to get confused on the internet because there's lots of mis-information floating about.
