These boots were Made in England. The laces are thin (older) and the lace eyelets are small. Are these military boots? Boondockers?

    GaleriaGila Hola, y'all!

11 1/2? I thought Europe used that other sizing system... maybe these were made for American consumers?

Edit - They would "translate" to a 46 or so for Europe?

11 1/2 is a standard shoe size in the UK, they might just fit me.

Wow, thanks, Davey... good to know. Is 11 1/2 there the same as it is here? If so, ummm... may I say... you have quite a pair of ocean liners there...

Well you know what they say about guys with big feet
    Big Socks

I think our size is one below yours, I can get a large 11 or 11½ on but take a 12 which is a 13 in the US.
My middle one takes a 14 which is 15 in the US.

Being old and beat up I probably wont be able to sell them for much. Oh well, they didn't cost me anything.

If they were 11 1/2 US they'd be my length more or less, but probably about five sizes too wide. I wear women's 13N sneakers, but only about an 11 dress shoe. My dad wore US 13s, so to me that doesn't sound all that huge. I have male friends who wear 15s and 16s - now those are some big feet.

Agree with Say-It-Slowly. They look like paddock/riding boots.

    Hi,
What is this nonsense about big feet? I am a 15wide. Some basket ball players are 20 or 22. I used to be a 13 but over the years I have grown to 15. The worst is getting socks. No problem being a 13 but a 15, problems. I went to a tall mans store and for socks they wanted 12 dollars a pair!!!!!

    Greg,
My son and I get ours from a local guy in the market, our sizes are 13 and 15 (US) all he sells is socks, I get 3 pair black cotton for £3.50 ($5.14).
I hate shopping so I buy in bulk, I got 30 pairs before Christmas.

    Hi Davey,
I used to get my socks at the flea market, a buck a pair. Living down here there is no markets and the regular stores do not carry my size in socks. I should start looking on line.

Greg...The route 9 market isn't too far away is it? 'Course right now the pickin's might be a bit slim there. I think you might find 'em there though, in season. Pretty big general line flea.

I knew a defensive lineman for the Chicago Bears years ago. He wore an 18. His footwear had to be custom fitted and made but Nike picked up the tab, not street shoes though.
