Old picture frame bookends

    Would anyone care to take a stab at the approximate age of these bookends please?
    They are plaster and on wood backs.
    They’ve got a couple of chips- what type of paint be suitable for me to do a touch up?

    My stab: Although they're classical figures... from the length of their skirts, I'd think 1920s.

    There is nothing to indicate the scene is taking place at night, which is curious, nothing other than the general good cheer to suggest a bacchanale.

    Bacchanale is such a good word. I've just educated myself on Wikipedia about it!.

    The "look" is what I was thinking of. I've got an actual picture frame from the 20s that looks alot like the one sported by these bookends.
