Bought a couple good size redware plates, hoping someone can identify origin. This plate has a bamboo? or reed type border around the plate and a metal rim around the foot.

Looks like the woman could be Amazigh/Berber. Maybe Morocco?

Any, according to google, a metal band on the foot was used in the 17 and 1800's to protect weak areas, also for repairs.

Definitely somewhere they serve tea that way. The metal banding might be because the potter didn't entirely trust the ceramic.

Could be Moroccan. Did the other come from the same source?

Ah, then they could both be Spanish.
